Hello everyone! Sorry my video was all cracked out yesterday. Short n Chic is LOW TECH, people (ie, I, dear readers, am LOW TECH) so I have no idea what its deal was. I had good intentions and I'm too lazy to fix it. Also, just to clarify, in order to win my GIVEAWAY you don't have to choose from the six polishes I posted pictures of. Those were just examples. You can pick from any of the American Apparel polishes. What's that? You haven't heard about my Hipster GIVEAWAY? Then, by all means, click here to enter.
I've got one of the new Sally Hansen Xtreme Wears for you today. I've seen these in a couple places since the weekend, so they should be readily available soonish. I bought three of them. A lot of these polishes had bar glitter and regular round glitter in them; that's a good idea in theory, but Milani did a collection like that last summer and I wasn't a fan of those so I skipped the Sally Hansen versions. Here's the one I chose to wear first, Purple Gala. It's so sparkly that my camera had trouble focusing on it.
Purple Gala is a glitterfest of gold and smoky purple and silver. It's AWESOME. Seriously. The application was good; two coats to loveliness. This had the same problem as most Xtreme Wears, which is that the polish tends to get goopier the longer the bottle is open. Not a huge deal, but it would behoove you to work quickly with this little guy. But wait, doesn't this look kind of familiar?
Here is Purple Gala next to Hard Candy Mr. Wrong. I didn't compare them on my nails because, as you know, I am lazy. But LOOK AT THEM. They are essentially THE SAME. Differences? I like the Sally Hansen brush better. There's also a price difference (Hard Candy polishes cost twice as much as Xtreme Wears) and also I've noticed that the availability of Hard Candy polishes is kind of patchy. Not all Wal Marts have them. Plus (and no offense, Wal Mart lovers) you have to go to Wal Mart to get them. I don't like going to Wal Mart. I'm more of a Target kind of gal and Wal Mart makes me sad. I am so convinced that these polishes are dupes that I gave Mr. Wrong away to my friend Amber yesterday. Now there's room in Helmer 1.0 for another polish!
So that's all for today. Do you think you'll pick up Purple Gala? For $2.50 it's quite the steal. I've got two more from this collection to show you and they're both really beautiful. Get excited! And don't forget to enter my American Apparel GIVEAWAY!
