Going Buh-Byes

It came to my attention yesterday that there are five weeks left in the semester.  I have done little, if any research, for my two huge final projects, so I've made the executive decision to do my best to get eliminate one of my biggest distractions, which is Short 'n Chic.  I don't know if I'll stop posting completely, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I won't be around as much as I have been.  When I come back my Coral Fixation series and spring will both be in full swing, so I'm looking forward to that.  Anyway, I'll still be around, 'causin' mischief, wearin' shirts with animals on them, and rockin' some awesome polish, which I'm sure I'll be unable to resist sharing with you intermittently.  But mostly I'll be doin' this:

Wish me luck.  I need it.  Watch out, Winslow Homer and Bernini.  I'm about to thesis the hell out of you.  Rawr.

  5. I'm lucky enough to be a dinosaur. An old lady from other times where the screen was not so prominent.

When I was a student writing and working on my big projects, the internet was tiny if not almost inexisting. The first time I went on the web in my life, I was in 3rd year post-baccalauréat of Art studies. I wouldn't blame you if you'd think I'm 95 years old because I'm not that far. I created my first email adress when I was in 4th year of studies. I maybe connected twice during my final year. Those were other times (hear the grandma speaking). So... there was no such distraction and I was mostly spending my time reading at the library or drawing. I'm not sure how I would have handled studies+blog+internet if I was younger now.

Go go go for your own good and I'll sure be there in thought and happy to find you back. Oh and "Merde!" as we say in my country to those we want to wish great luck (it's true!).

I know you can do it and do it great!

  6. Aw, man. Your blog is honestly one of my faves - seriously, I think you have the best pics ever and you've managed to make me want every single polish you feature. I'll miss getting frequent updates from you, but I totally understand...sometimes, you just gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck with the research!!

  7. you are funny.
I'm sure you'll do great. I wish I can tell you I'll miss you more but at this point I cannot keep buying more polish so I will take a break from following your awesome taste. OK, I will miss you! There. I said it.

  9. Sitting over here in muggy Melbourne, painting my nails with Wagon Trail (would never have known that murky brown bottle contained such goodness if not for you Steph) and listening to Train's Save Me San Francisco. Study hard and don't stay away too long.

  10. Your blog has become the only one that I check multiple times a day. Maybe now that it's finally getting nicer in the Cleve I'll be forced to spend some time outside instead of obsessively checking to see if you've updated!! :D

Wishing you the best of luck in your studies-I will miss you & patiently await your return!!
