Everything Ends

My last week of summer in photographs with, for once, very little commentary.  They speak for themselves, I think.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream, Chagrin Falls, Ohio

Pal Sam, sporting OPI A-Taupe the Space Needle

Here starts another school year.  And here's to the end of summer:  Opt for adventure.

A totally self-indulgent post for once can't hurt, right?  :)

  2. For a (short) while of panic, I thought you were stopping your blog. You aren't. Phfeww... ;)

"Chagrin Falls Pop Corn"... Knowing that "chagrin" means sorrow/grief in French, the picture gives a strange tone to your message. It's always hard for me to cope with the end of Summer. But there is no end without beginnings right? And beginnings are always exciting. :)

(The road picture is immensely inspirational. How I love the beautiful America.)

    Choose adventure. Always. =)

  3. nathalie, chagrin means the same in English. I've always thought it was funny; Chagrin Falls is such a happy little place. Clearly. I mean, there is ice cream. And popcorn.

  4. I love your hat in the first picture. There's nothing more summery than a straw hat.

  8. Oh how I hate that A-Taupe the Space Needle. There is nothing, ab-so-lute-ly nothing in Western Washington (which is much bigger than just Coffeeville) that is that particular shade of caca brown. Everything here is green, blue, golden and white, even the Sound or Pacific Ocean in winter goes a silvery gray with green undertones.

Come visit people, it's beautiful here, nothing like that horrible brown, (and we aren't supposed to tell anyone but other than one day of 65° rain which we needed badly, it's been in the mid to upper 80's everyday, with low humidity and lovely breezes off the ocean for weeks. Everything has been green, blue, and golden. They should have made a beautiful piney green with blue and gold shimmers and called it Summer in the PNW.

  10. Hello, fellow Sagittarian Love that you added your horoscope! I for one am very much looking forward to the end of summer. Though for me the weather won't get truly Fall-like for another couple of months. Happy Fall to you!
